Menu Board

February 19, 2009

This is a board that I picked up at Goodwill for $4.99. I decided to to put it in service as our nightly menu board. This helps my family to know what we are having for dinner, which cuts down the questions a lot and assists my table setters in deciding what should go on the table. Plus, it coordinates nicely with my yellow walls, though the color of the walls is somewhat washed out in this photo. (That’s the result of copious amounts of sunshine coming through my west windows. Don’t let anyone tell you the sun never shines in the Pacific Northwest in the winter!)

So true! I’ve got some flooding my room right at this moment.

I love the menu board. Riana has one too. Now I feel all left out.

But I rarely make an actual menu. I make a lot of one dish meals. Not so exciting to put on a menu board, huh?

Maybe it would inspire me though.

I know Riana has one. In fact, I saw this at Goodwill just a couple of days after I saw hers. When I saw hers I was thinking it was a great idea, then when I was at the GW looking for another laundry rack I ran across this so, of course, I had to pick it up.

Some nights, all I have written down is a one dish meal and it still just fine. It’s not four dishes every night! In fact that night, I got started so late it was only falafel and pita!
