Need Some Good Thoughts

January 3, 2008

I’m not trying to be evasive, but I’m not ready to open up on something that we are needing to make a decision about. (For those of you who are quick to jump to this line of thinking it doesn’t have anything to do with expanding our family.)

A possible opportunity has arisen; we need to decide whether to pursue it further or even if we are able to. For those of you who believe in prayer or the hand of God, please keep us in mind that we will have discernment about our situation and also that things will fall into place if meant to be and that if it isn’t meant to be that we will have the sense to not get any further into it.

I hope to be able to report one way or the other in the very near future.

You both will definitely be in our prayers. Speaking from experience, I have learned if you have to force something to happen it probably isn’t meant to be and can have diastrous results. But if God means for it to happen and you follow what feels right, things will normally fall into place.

If I had to say what your strongest attribute as a thinking woman is, I would have to say that you kick butt thinking critically. You will not have trouble assessing the situation and knowing what is the best thing to do. Whether you are willing to listen to your own knowledge, that is for you to work through.

In the meantime I will send out a powerful wish to the ether that this opportunity is a good one and is meant for you.

WOW!!! There’s nothing like being in a situation where you have to determine whether you’re following the will of God or your own desire. I say that from experience. When we bought the ranch, we struggled with knowing if this was truly where we were supposed to be or whether we just wanted it so badly that we were possibly forcing it (thanks for saying it that way Aunt Evie). The wonderful thing is that when you truly pray “Your will not my will be done” God will open and close doors, and you will have that sense of peace about the situation. That’s what I’m praying. For doors to be shut if you’re not to walk through and doors to be opened exactly where you need to step. He’ll answer.

Thank you all for your thoughts. I think that we have clarified the situation and come to something of a decision. I will share more as soon as I know for sure.
